What Hitting Training Covers
Swing Mechanics
Players work on the fundamentals of a more repeatable, efficient swing. Training focuses on proper movement patterns, cleaner swing path, and the kind of mechanics that hold up over time.
Timing & Approach
Good hitters need more than mechanics alone. Training also focuses on rhythm, timing, and developing a better approach at the plate so players can feel more prepared and more in control.
Confidence
Confidence comes from understanding what you are doing and repeating it with purpose. Sessions help players build trust in their swing, compete with more freedom, and step into the box with a better mindset.

How Hitting Trianing Works
Private Lessons
Private instruction gives players focused, one-on-one coaching based on their individual swing, current skill level, and development goals. Each lesson is built to provide clear feedback and targeted improvement.
Player Fit
Hitting instruction is a strong fit for players who want to strengthen their foundation, clean up mechanics, or gain more confidence at the plate. Sessions are tailored to meet players where they are and help them keep progressing.
Why It Matters
Development Focus
A better swing is not just about looking more polished. Strong hitting fundamentals can help players make more consistent contact, build confidence under pressure, and create habits that support long-term development as they continue to grow in the game.

What Families Are Saying
My son trained and was coached by Stephen Englund for six years, and the impact on his development was tremendous. He learned valuable traits, deepened his understanding of the game, and gained the ability to see baseball at a much higher level thanks to Stephen’s teaching. Stephen is an excellent communicator who can clearly demonstrate technical skills and tailor his coaching to help each individual player reach their goals. I would recommend Stephen to anyone who wants their child to improve and become the best version of themselves. By the time my son graduated, he was ranked the number one first baseman in his class in the state of Washington, and I credit a significant part of that success to Stephen’s coaching. Stephan’s impact not only touched the baseball side of life but also has taught many life lesson that have proved beneficial towards his growth as a person.

My son, Jack, now 9 started with Coach Stephen when he was 7 to address his bat initially stopping at point of contact. Coach Stephen first talked me about the issue and then worked with Jack. He spoke “kid” extremely well and really clicked with Jack with his ability to simplify the drills they were working on. Fast forward to this year where Jack was afraid of getting hit and started diving out of the box. Coach Stephen worked with him on his mental approach and again his communication style “lit a light bulb” and Jack has turned a huge corner and the improvement in his confidence is unbelievable. Stephen is a magician. I cannot recommend him enough. We lost touch with him for a bit and tried other coaches. They were knowledgeable, but they never clicked like it did with Stephen. He really has been a Godsend for my kiddo.
