What Pitching Training Covers
Mechanics
Players work on the fundamentals of proper pitching form and movement. Training is built to help athletes develop cleaner mechanics, better body control, and a delivery that can be repeated with more consistency.
Control
Better command starts with better fundamentals. Sessions focus on helping pitchers improve control, throw with more intent, and build confidence in their ability to consistently attack the strike zone.
Development
Pitching development goes beyond just throwing harder. Training may include pitch grips, movement patterns, and the overall foundation needed to help players continue improving over time.

How Pitching Training Works
Session Format
Each pitching lesson is built around the player’s current skill level, goals, and area of focus. Sessions are designed to provide clear instruction, useful feedback, and practical adjustments that players can continue working on between lessons.
Who It's For
Pitching instruction is for players who want to strengthen fundamentals, improve command, and continue developing on the mound. Whether a player is building a foundation or refining specific areas, training is tailored to support steady progress.
Coach Approach
Pitching Philosophy
Pitching instruction at DiamondX Training is built on sound mechanics, steady development, and helping players understand how to move more efficiently. Stephen also works with pitchers on the mental side of the game, including confidence, composure, and handling pressure on the mound. The focus is on building repeatable habits and giving players a stronger foundation for long-term growth.

What Families Are Saying
Coach Steve has worked with our family for the past 5 years and has been instrumental in all three of our boys’ baseball development. He helped our oldest son build a strong foundation in hitting, pitching, and fielding, which led to a very successful first Little League season and an All-Star selection in his first year. As our son progressed through Little League, club baseball, and now into high school, Coach Steve continued to help him maximize his abilities.
He has also done an amazing job with our two younger boys as they began their own baseball journeys. Coach Steve not only teaches kids how to succeed on the field, but also helps them develop a real love for the game. He works incredibly well with players of all ages and skill levels, giving clear, effective instruction while keeping lessons engaging and fun.
As a parent, I especially appreciate that he takes time after lessons to explain what he worked on and how we can continue supporting that progress at home. I would highly recommend Coach Steve to any family looking for a coach who develops both skills and confidence while making baseball enjoyable.
KuDoT - Bellevue, WA
I’ve had the opportunity to work with Steve in a variety of settings since 2019, including infield camps, winter training for our local Little League, and as a coach for one of my select teams. He is equally effective leading small group camps, team sessions, and one-on-one lessons.
Both of my sons have trained with Steve for the past eight years, from Little League through middle and high school. He has done an exceptional job adapting his coaching as they’ve grown, simplifying fundamentals for younger players and introducing more advanced techniques as they develop.
Beyond skill development, Steve emphasizes the mental side of the game, including approach, confidence, and situational awareness, while drawing on his own playing experience to connect with athletes who want to compete at the next level.
He has played a significant role in my sons’ development, and I highly recommend him to any player looking to improve their game.”
